A little bit of history…the first populations in this area were the Latins, a mass of Indo-European populations that had settled in the Ancient Latium (The Latium Vetus by Pliny the Elder).
Four centuries before the foundation of Rome, the Latins had already established here. The heart of the religious and political life was found on what is named today “Monte Cavo”, the ancient Mons Albanus where the sacred Temple of Jupiter.
In the modern times also the Pope had a summer residence here built on top of the ancient Villa of the emperor Domiziano…a big part of the roman history…join us and visit this magical place!
